July 24th, Tuesday... I've been listening to sports talk radio go on and on about the Penn State situation involving their former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, who took it upon himself to violate young boys in the shower. Now the NCAA has stepped in to punish Penn State with a 60 million dollar fine over five years, loss of scholarships and vacating Joe Paterno's wins record.
Well, Coach Paterno is dead, Sandusky is in jail, the school has been punished and yet there is no talk about the future lives of the victims! Why is that?
It's strange to me that there is no mention of what compensation lies ahead for them. They were sacrificed and it seems like they are being punished, again for said sacrifice that they, unknowingly, were sacrificed! Even if the money goes to charity, do they have to join said charity to gain compensation? Sure, they can sue.
Sue who? Sandusky? (Good luck with that lawsuit!) As I think about it, what is in it for the victims? Sandusky?
