August 1st, Saturday/ Another one bites the dust! David Ortiz, Big Poppy, has been popping the big pilly and got caught! OMG... What news! What? News? It's not news... It's nonsense! Who (should) really cares? I will tell you who should not care... The fans!
Why should the fans care about this? Sports talk radio talking heads should care because they need BS to spin! The families of and the athlete, him/herself, should care because it is their body they should be concerned about. But the fans... Oh hell no!
Fans pay to be entertained. When they see a big, strong, strapping athlete step up to the plate, or foul line, or goal line, they want excitement, results and fireworks to take place! I am paying for homeruns! Swing away "Big Poppy!" If you are gonna go down, go down in flames!
But, I am listening to fans on the radio and all I hear is whining and crying about how the game of baseball is being cheated. So what? There is enough cheating going around for everybody on both sides of the plate.
Get the hell over it fan... It is not about you and how you feel. It is about what you pay to see! You paid, you saw, "you're out of there!" Go home and make sure your wife or girlfriend is not "cheating" on you because you spent the last 6 hours of your life at the baseball field instead if being home, spending quality time with your wife, girlfriend, and kids. Remember, it's only a (reality) movie... It's only a (reality) movie!

July 11th, Saturday/ In what seems like ages ago, I got into a huge argument with a friend (we are no longer friends due to this particular argument!) about Barry Bonds. His point was that Major League Baseball would suffer because Barry Bonds was no longer in the game. My argument was that Major League Baseball did not give a rat's ass about Barry Bonds and he would no longer be a member of the team. Any team!
And, here we are...Major league Baseball is still in existence and Barry Bonds is not. ( I mean in the context of being an active member of the game in some capacity!)
Whether Barry Bonds did what he is accused of is of no real consequence. He is not well liked and whatever he is accused of is the operating reason (used) as to why he is no longer around. He has alienated himself and he was arrogant in the process. But so what? Is Barry Bonds a viable reason for me to lose a friend? You know what? "I don't give a rat's ass!" If someone can use someone else's situation as a reason to not be my friend, why do I need that person in my life? The only thing I got out of this whole thing is that this particular situation brings a whole new meaning to the phenomenon that is Black on Black crime!

October 4th, Thursday/ Last night I went to bed very early, which ment I was going to wake up in the middle of the night and not be able to go back to sleep. So I turned on the radio and tuned on to a sports talk radio station. Hey, I'm into sports! Sometimes I listen to sports talk radio during the day to pass the time. Sometimes it's cool and other times the conversations get real stupid. Well last night the conversation went beyond stupid!/ I've noticed that the hosts of these types of shows seem to get real disturbed when their listening audience doen't agree with whatever they say. Most of the time, after a rant by the host, the listener gets hung up on! Last time I checked that is rude behavior. I guess no one can have a valid opinion, on the radio, but the host? Or, maybe they are supposed to be funny? I got annoyed! Then, the random bantering that goes on and on and on and on... Yeah, I can change the channel, which I eventually did, but... And the losers that call in...! What the hell is wrong w/ people? You know, I could never get past the weirdness of Andy Warhol but he was right about one thing: People DO want their 15 minutes of fame! The callers will hang on the line and wait and wait and wait to be heard on the radio! Last night, two guys fell asleep waiting. They broadcasted the two guys snoring while waiting! I guess that is compelling radio or something./ I know one thing... I will time my going to bed better from now on. I will also avoid listening to sports talk radio from now on. Hell, I might just stop watching sporting events altogether. If I cannot be entertained by sports, I might as well watch and listen to world news... That's where all the comedians seem to be these days!/ CRAP!
