November 11th, Sunday... "Homeboy in da house!" President Obama is back in the White House and there are some pissed off people in the country! I mean, what's the big deal? If G. W. Bush can do eight years, why be pissed off about Obama? If the racial component is supposed to be "non existent" why be so upset? I mean, Mitt Romney? Are you serious? It seems like every time he opened his mouth, his foot fit perfectly in it!
Look, he is a rich man and he will live very comfortably for the rest of his life but... Truth be told, the Republican Party needs to get their "sh!t" together. Their track record is butt ugly! Besides, the way the world is going, no one man may be able to "fix it!" It's a GOD thing. The job market is a mess. The housing market is a mess... The Economy is a mess and those things did not just fall apart four years ago!
Hearts have to soften and mindsets have to change before some real results surface. This has all been prophesized! It's about people and how they conduct their business. If corruption and profit is prevelant, nothing will get done. Obama may not be the best, but he damn sure ain't the worst!
Okay, I'll start... I don't have a house or a job and I'm not "bitchin'" about a damn thing! I'm breathing and that is all I can ask for. It could be worse... I could be a woman and get pregnant due to a rape and Romney could be President. GOD has a plan!
Miscellaneous Turds are the rants of an invisible man. Now these rants will not be malicious or mean spirited. However, they will be outragous and quazi rediculous! If you find yourself offended in anyway just remember that it is not about you! (And, you can get your own blog and post your own ideas!)

A Warped POV by A. Dacosta Brathway
March 21st, Wednesday... I was just reading an online Yahoo article about Newt Gingrich's faltering campaign for the Republican nomination for President, and Gingrich remains adamant about running in spite of losing numbers and no money! I started thinking, how could I support a man who criticizes the existing president about the economy while his financial arrogance has run amuck? How can I trust him to do the right thing with money?
I guess having rich friends is a nice thing to have but is it feasible to be so irresponsible with someone else's money? (Even when they are stupid enough to allow you to be?) Right now, 3 drones (spy planes) are grounded and they cost 3.8 billion dollars to build! I mean, so as to not give the appearance of wasting money, could those planes be loaned out (rented out) to be used at an amusement park or something? You know, let the kids fly them around the park. Or maybe small children can be seat belted in and flown around? What?
I don't know... Maybe it is me? What am I thinking? Red flags are flapping in my head like gale force winds are blowing! Would someone please lock the asylum's front door and check all the exits? Somebody call "Crazy Joe!" (Lean On Me!)

A Warped POV by A. Dacosta Brathway
December 2nd, Friday... I was on Facebook (man, I have to get off Facebook!) and I read an article about Vanessa Long (Pastor Willie Long's woman) filing for a divorce and then rescinding the petition. When I finished reading, I got to thinking, what is it about people doing what they do? Money? Power? Recognition? Then it hit me... She wants to be the First Lady Of Pedophilia! What else could it be? (LOVE?)
Okay... Lets say it is love. Are women so weak to love that they would subject themselves to circumstances so despicable? (First Lady of Pedophilia!/ LOL!)
I blame Michelle Obama for this. (JOKE!) She started this Black First Lady thing. She brought dignity and class to the position and now Black women are losing their minds trying to be a first lady.
Give it up! The economy is so bad, people will forsake their dignity for some prestige and the almighty dollar. If homeboy really wanted to get down, he should get down with the Atlanta Housewives' freaks. I know pedophilia is a power trip thing but I'd bet Long would be taken on a real power trip with those two! (I can see it now... Bedroom lit with a red bulb and Coolio playing in the background!)

April 25th, Monday... I just read this: Washington, DC is implementing pay-by-phone parking meters this Summer. You pull into a space, call the appropriate number and your credit card is charged!
Ok... Maybe it's just me but I started thinking about the whole gentrification thing and how the city is being retaken by, well... you know. So, considering the ways of the economy right now and seeing how credit is real bad amongst the poor and disenfranchised, does this mean that if you drive, at $4.00 a gal., maybe you can't afford a cell phone, does this mean that you can't drive to DC? Then there is the pressure of taking METRO into the city and the price is going up on that. Is the METRO money to take the place of the gas, parking, and cell phone bill money and are we to believe that it will be cheaper to take METRO, even though crime has risen in the system and we stand to lose more than just our money?
To that notion, I say "goodbye SMITHSONIAN Museums, take care VERIZON CENTER, see you later Washington Monument! I will just drive to the dividing line between the county line and DC, get out of my car, and stick my nose across the line and sniff the DC stench!

April 9th, Thursday/ Here's when you know the economy is bad. You and your boys decide that you are going to hijack a ship. You go out on the high seas, find a ship and hijack it. You ransack the ship, find some booty, you're talking smack... Maybe you are a little drunk, you take hostages. You're not thinking straight. You're caught up in the moment. The hostages see an opportunity to overtake you. They go for it. You manage to escape their grasp, with a hostage! You jump into a life boat. you have money, you have a hostage. You got away! Then, BOOM! The life boat runs out of gas and you are left drifting in the ocean with no gas station in sight, a useless hostage, worthless booty and a freakin' American destroyer bearing down on your ass! And at the price of gas these days you probably couldn't buy enough gas to get to where you need to get to anyway! Maybe you should have hijacked the Destroyer that's full of gas. But then you probably could not afford the price of parking!

A Warped POV by A. Dacosta Brathway
April 7th, Tuesday/ PHEW! The NCAA Division I Basketball Tournament is finally over and, man, what a ride! The University of North Carolina took the top prize by beating the crap out of Michigan State and all is right with the world. Well... Not really.
For whatever reason, there is a lot of drama attached to the tournament. Maybe there is a general concensus that the games are not enough to create the kind of anticipation the NCAA tournament committee thinks is necessary to make the games a success. Here is what goes into building the tourney: First, the college basketball season has to start. The Division I members are the only division that is deemed important, according to who is in charge of making that determination.(All of the other divisions in college basketball have a tournament!) However, Division I gets all the play!/ There is a pre-conference schedule, a conference schedule, a post season conference tournament, and then the BIG ONE... THE NCAA DIVISION I TOURNAMENT! Taa daaaaaa...
Now the fun starts. First it has to be determined who is going to play in the tournament. There is a set mumbo-jumbo criteria the teams have to follow to be selected. If they meet said criteria, the committee selects the teams. Then there are the brackets. The brackets place the teams in the order of games that are to be played. The drama that goes along with that is stifling. There are the favorites, the bubble teams, the conference winners, the selected teams, the seeds, who gets what seed, what region each team is going to, the 4 regions, who has an advantage who is at a disadvantage, who belongs, who does not belong, what is fair, what is not fair, blah...blah... yap...yap...
Then there is the mystery of the seeding. There is a (dubbed) "Cinderella" team. That is a team that will go deep into the tournament surpassing everyone's expectations. There is the dreaded 12-5 seeding. That's the bracket selection where a #12 seed will beat a #5 seed. How that happens I have no idea. There are the #1 seeds, who are supposed to be better than everybody else. Which brings me to the favorites... Which team is supposed to win? Who the hell knows? It's a tournament! All things being equal, it's a crap shoot. Really?
Okay, all of that being said, it turns out that Michigan State makes it to the finals to play UNC. Michigan State, a #2 seed played Louisville, a #1 seed and beat them to get to the Final 4. Then they beat UCONN, another #1 seed to get to the championship game to play Mighty Carolina who was the preseason pick to win it all! Nice setup!
THEN... Some spin doctor decided to add extra pressure on Michigan State... Michigan State was mandated to save America! That's right! They were told that they were the cloud with the silver lining that would make the people of Michigan feel better in spite of the failing economy, in general, and the crumbling car industry, in particular! Never mind that Carolina was steam rolling over everybody in the tournament and that should be Michigan State's focus. Save the world boys from something you had nothing to do with creating! Help people forget the dire straights they are in for a few days through your representation. HELP!!!
So, here we are... The day after... Carolina gutted Michigan State like a fish! It was surreal to watch the Spartans forget everything they knew how to do and suffer through 40 minutes of pain! Why not just go to the dentist and have all of your teeth pulled out? (Without gas or the needle!)And then... and then... Wake up the next day, look out of your window and realize that the state of Michigan is no better off than it was the day before, you played the worst game of your life on the biggest stage of your life and be recognized as a failure, just like the economy has failed the people you were mandated to represent! DAMN life ain't fair!

A Warped POV by A. Dacosta Brathway
March 24th, Tuesday/ I was thinking about the state of the economy and the bailouts and all of that; and then, I got to thinking about the stock market. How does it work? It seems like, to me, the slightest thing that can happen all the way across the world affects America's stock market. It's up, it's down... The Dow, NASDAQ, stocks... I don't get it.
Anyway, I was wondering, considering the climate of a portion of America's population, who are still seething over the election of Barack Obama and the way the Market is affected when a high profiled dignitary sneezes all the way across the ocean... If the President was on his way out of the country for some high powered Summit, and he got sick while walking to the helicopter and had to take a crap right on the White House lawn, what would that do to the market? I don't know... It's crazy!

A Warped POV by A. Dacosta Brathway
February 20th, Friday/ I just heard about a cartoon published by the NY Post the other day. The cartoon was of two cops shooting a monkey and the caption referenced that the country had to find someone else to sign the stimulus package. (The package was to be signed by President O'Bama!) Then I heard their excuse for publishing it. The excuse for publishing the cartoon was that they were referencing the monkey in the cartoon to the chimp that is in the news for ripping the face off of her owner. (By the way: The chimp has nothing to do with signing the stimulus package!) So, the inference is that the cartoon is a racist remark directed towards the President of the United States, who just happens to be a Black man. Now Al Sharpton is involved and there are picket lines in front of the Post's office building, to which the Post objects to and has dubbed Al Sharpton as a publicity hound. (Another animal reference towards a black man!)
Racism aside, there is another problem here; well, two really. There is a woman in Connecticut without a face and there is a chimp that has not received the proper therapy it probably needed for quite some time!
And, is yet another message being sent, by the cartoonist, that the President has the capacity to go crazy and rip off the face of his significant other, be shot by the SS, and thereby not sign the stimulus package? Where would we be as a nation if that were to happen?
Just look at the domino effect that could happen because of what someone considered to be a harmless joke!
